   Asiago Cheese Recipe Coming Soon!

Would the real Asiago Cheese..Please stand up!

Just to make myself clear…WE love our cheese…Almost any kind, any shape or any color. I must confess though…I do not like Limburger cheese. Sorry, just can’t get a grip on that stuff. Maybe it was when someone put that cheese on my exhaust and, well you know the rest. The other cheese not found in our home is Bleu Cheese, I leave that one to my daughter who loves it….

Anyway, the authentic Asiago cheese can be found in an area reaching from the irrigated fields of the Po Valley to the hills of the Asiago Plateau and Trentino located in Italy. Asiago cheese that is produced entirely at an altitude above 600 metres and with milk from farms within this region, may also bear the distinction “Product of the Mountain”. Only Asiago cheese produced within this area is authentic Asiago PDO cheese.       Now your going to ask?  What is PDO?

Got ya covered! PDO means, Protected Destination of Origin (PDO in Italian, standing for Denominazione di Origine Protetta) This means that only cheese which is produced, matured, packaged and distributed in compliance with the Asiago Cheese PDO Production Regulations is “Asiago Cheese”. All the rest is just “cheese”.

Don't look at the ends. Kenny had to taste it right away!

Now that you know what real #AsiagoCheese is and where it comes from, I have some great news…I have been given the opportunity to sample and cook with the real Asiago cheese. I received my sample yesterday and will be doing some recipes within the next few weeks that I know your going to love. Especially if you love Asiago cheese. Stay tuned and don’t be afraid to join our Weekly recipes for your mail box so you don’t miss out.

Oh…I wanted to ask…what is your favorite recipe when your cooking with Asiago cheese?

I have been given a sample from Asiago cheese to try and all opinions are my own. However, I do have to add one more thing and that is, just the chunks Kenny and I both nibbled on were the best tasting Asiago cheese to ever cross our lips and cooking with it will be a shear delight!!! Kenny’s Po Po Platter will also be adorned with this mouth watering cheese during the next football game……..

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NECTRESSE™Sweetener for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I finally received my free sample of NECTRESSE™Sweetener no calorie sweetener. I have been looking forward to sampling this new product; you see, I have a diabetic daughter that loves sweet things and a husband that needs to cut back on sugar at his age. To have a sweetener that is 100% all natural and has zero calories is a blessing to me. I did some research on Nectresse™ Sweetener and found out it is made from the monk fruit that grows on vines in the remote mountains in Asia. It is combined with the perfect blend of other natural sweeteners and taste just like sugar without the calories and without the after-taste that a lot of the other artificial sweeteners seem to leave in your mouth.

I could not wait to use sweetener in my baking ventures, which I will be using their recipe for Apple Cinnamon Pancakes, so I used it in my coffee this morning. Since I use 1 teaspoon of sugar, it came to my attention that 1 packet of Nectresse™ Sweetener has the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar. That is two cups of coffee per packet, that my friend is a bargain. I also used  Nectresse™ Sweetener in my hot green tea this afternoon.

Let me tell you, you cannot tell the difference, as a matter of fact it tasted even better than before and I had the peace of mind knowing that there was absolutely ZERO calories in my tea.

Another nice convenience of Nectresse™ Sweetener is that it comes in single-serve packets for traveling or an easy to hold canister with a multi-purpose lid for spooning, sprinkling, and pouring. So my friend, what are you waiting for? Go and visit Nectresse™ Sweetener at www.Nectresse.com/free-sample and sign up for your FREE sample of NECTRESSE™Sweetener so you can try it out for yourself. Oh, don’t worry, once you have tried it and want to get more, NECTRESSE™ Sweetener is available right now in your local super-centers, drug stores, grocery stores and on-line.
