Beer Cheese Soup With Macaroni

Yes, but another beer recipe!

 

2-1/2 cups water
1 cup of beer, drink the rest
3/4 cup elbow macaroni
1/2 teas chicken bouillon granules
1/2 teas dried minced onion
1/2 teas dried basil, crushed
Hot pepper sauce to taste, I use Frank’s
1/4 cup cold water
2 tbls flour
2 cups cubed, processed cheese

 

In a large saucepan combine the first seven ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 10 minutes. Whisk together the flour and water and slowly add to the water mixture, stirring constantly. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly; cook for one more minute. Stir in the cheese and heat until cheese has melted. Serve up with some fresh chopped chives or bacon bits like I do, and of course some nice cold brew with some toasted French bread!

South Of The Border Fish Sticks

Corn bread and fish sticks, oh my!

 

 

16 of your favorite fish sticks
1 pkg corn muffin mix
1 can (4 oz) diced chili peppers, drained
1 cup cubed processed cheese spread

 

Arrange fish sticks in a 9x9x2-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes. While fish is cooking, prepare muffin mix according to package directions and stir in the chili peppers and cheese. After fish has cooked for the 25 minutes, remove from oven and spread corn mixture over them evenly. Return to oven and bake about another 25 minutes or until corn bread is nicely browned and cooked through. Fish sticks on a whole new level! Serve with some taco sauce and enjoy!
