The Miracle Gro Project

Hey..Mister Green Thumb, I have an exciting project for you! Miracle-Gro has come up with The Gro Project that is fun, exciting, enjoyable, and easy to do. It is also a fun project to do with the kids, who are out of school for the summer and what kid doesn’t like to play in the dirt? Me and husband both got excited when we read  about these projects, then we went right to work and came up with this idea. The open terrarium (also known as “Men Chopping Wood”), was the project we came up with and we’ll show you how we did it in just a little bit.

First, I want to share with you The Gro Project. Miracle-Gro has come up with some fun garden projects that I know you will really enjoy. I love the Toyarium for the kids and the Ukulele Garden would be awesome on the patio. They also have an Origami Garden, G.T.O.B. and the Thrown Down. It doesn’t matter if your new at this or if you’re a professional, Miracle-Gro gives you step-by-step instructions and videos to make sure it’s done right. You can check out their site at Miracle-Gro.com or Follow them on Facebook. Better yet, join them on Pinterest and find out what other gardeners are up too! Belive me, they have all the answers and tools you need to do any garden project.

Join the project and have some fun!

Now, onto the “Men Chopping Wood”. We wanted do something that would go good with our country decor and be able to grow something that we could keep growing for a later use. Thus, came the pine trees. This was so much fun to do. We got up early, before the heat came in, and went in our woods in search of baby pines, twigs, rocks and wood. After getting all the stuff we needed from the woods and the little men, tractor and bear(behind log watching) already on hand, we started putting it together.

Well, what do you think? Who knows, maybe one of the pines will be a Christmas tree some years down the road.

I have to confess, this was our first project like this that Husband and I have done together. Sooo..we used what we had on hand for the potting soil and plant feed. However, next trip to the store, we will be purchasing these items for our future miniature gardens. And you can bet their will be more.

2. For in-ground – LiquaFeed All Purpose Plant Food Advance Starter Kit Starter Kit

Oh..how about a little Gnome scene. No..No..maybe one with a miniature stone BBQ pit and a little picnic table, they’d be fun to construct! My brain is going a hundred miles a minute here as we just hate to grow up and just love to have fun!

Miracle-Gro® and the Gardenieres!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Miracle-Gro for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

(1) Miracle-Gro

As you know we have been totally soaked this year from the rain every since Debby dumped 10+ inches on us at the end of June and then a total of 41 inches more. Needless to say planting the fall garden has been a nightmare. We managed to get the corn and beans in, but we still can’t seem to get the tomatoes planted in the garden since the ground is so muddy. Being frustrated with this dilemma, I decided to check out my good friends at Miracle-Gro® and the Gardenieres.

After watching a video by Gardenieres Chris Cerveny, a senior horticulture scientist at Scotts Miracle Gro,  I decided to plant my tomatoes in containers this year. Chris gave me the information that I needed to get started. I am going to use the Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro in my pots, since it’s so easy to work with and it keeps my plants moist. After I plant the tomatoes I will use the Miracle-Gro® Shake ‘n Feed® because it takes the guess work out of feeding your plants and you only have to do it one time. I really like that idea!

So, why don’t you get inspired and Find beauty in the Fall with Miracle-Gro® and the Gardenieres! Check them out on Miracle-Gro Facebook page and talk with fellow gardeners so you can share your up and down experiences in your gardening adventures. There’s nothing prettier than fall foliage around the house and a fall garden this time of year, of course that’s for those of us who are fortunate to have the right weather!

For your information on some potting projects:
Miracle-Gro® Potting Mix is great for all kinds of plants and feeds the plants for up to 6 months. Miracle-Gro® LiquaFeed® will help your plants feed even through the leaves and roots to keep them flourishing.
