Blonde Applesauce Brownies

Today is National Blonde Brownie Day and I thought this recipe was unique with the addition of applesauce thrown into the mix. Instead of apple pie ala mode you could have apple brownies ala mode for a different flavor. Whenever we have brownies, Kenny likes to warm them up a little and then smothers them with vanilla ice cream, you’d think he’d weigh a ton! Today here, would be an excellent day for baking, as the weather is quite cool, but there are still plenty of cookies left from the holidays as I didn’t give as many away as I needed to!

  1. Thanks again Bonnie, the applesauce keeps them nice and moist! Don’t worry about the ice cream as I now have my ice cream maker, so I can’t run out!

  2. I love bar cookies and the applesauce makes this blonde cookie unique…tell Kenny to save some ice cream for mine!
