Aspirin Cake

This was in one of my old cookbooks from a high school and was originally submitted by Ester Sturgeon and thought as it was the weekend, someone might need an aspirin  or two!

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Turn down T.V.
Remove toys from countertop.
Measure 2 cups of flour.
Get baking powder.
Remove Benjamin’s hands from flour.
Put flour, baking powder and salt into sifter.
Vacuum mixture off kitchen floor (Benjamin spilled it).
Get an egg.
Answer phone.
Separate egg and warm baby Adam’s bottle.
Help Mary figure out a new math problem (the old way).
Grease pan.
Salesman at the door.
Take 1/4 inch of salt from greased pan and look for Benjamin.
Put mess in wastebasket and dishes in dishwasher.
Call the bakery and take an aspirin.

I have tried to figure this one out as maybe my age is interfering or maybe it was Benjamin. Cute one though……enjoy and take an aspirin! Have a nice weekend, see ‘ya Monday………….

  1. It’s nice to have kids in the kitchen to help and a little flour fight once in awhile doesn’t hurt either:)
