Bacon Wrapped Tomatoes
Grilling out on Father’s Day, try this for something new!
Fry bacon until partially cooked and still limp. Mix together the sugar, mustard and salt. Make a vertical cut (about 2/3 of the way through) down the center of each tomato and spread the sugar mixture over the cut edges. Crisscross 2 bacon strips; place tomato where they cross. Pull up the bacon strips to the top of the tomato and secure with toothpicks. Place tomatoes, cut side up, on a doubled strip of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Cook over hot coals for about 10 minutes or until tomatoes are hot throughout and bacon is crisp. Enjoy!
