Hamburger And Grit Casserole
Kenny and I love our grits and a lot of the time we have them for breakfast with eggs and hamburger patties, so why not put them together in a casserole!

 

 

1 lb lean ground beef
3/4 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1 cup cooked grits
2/3 cup beef broth
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
3/4 teas chili powder
Salt & pepper to taste
2/3 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled corn bread

 
In a skillet, sprayed with cooking oil, cook the hamburger, onions and peppers until hamburger is no longer pink; drain any excess fat. Add the next 5 ingredients and turn into a casserole dish. Top with the cheese and bread crumbs and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Have some cornbread and enjoy!
