Fall Pork Chops

This recipe is for the crock pot!


6 pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
1 medium acorn squash
1/2 teas salt
2 tbsp butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 teas Kitchen Bouquet
Dash of nutmeg
3 tbsp fresh squeezed orange juice
1  1/2 grated orange peel


Cut the squash with peel, into 6 slices, seeds removed. Place 3 chops into the crock pot; next add the squash rings and then top with remaining chops. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat; to this add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour the mixture over the top of the chops, cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until pork is tender. Serve up with a slice of the squash and some apple sauce and enjoy!
