Cube Steak Stew

I haven’t tried this just yet, but it is on my list!

 

4 cubed steaks, cut into 1-inch strips
2 tbsp flour
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp finely chopped onion
1 cup frozen peas and carrots, I use fresh
6 medium potatoes
1/2 cup of liquid from cooking potatoes
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

 

 

Cook potatoes in a medium saucepan; let cool enough to peel and dice, reserving the 1/2 cup of the liquid. Steam carrots and peas. Coat the steak strips with flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Brown on all sides in the butter in a large skillet. Stir in the remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes…………Enjoy!
