Creamy Banana Nut Bread

When Kenny and I used to drive up to see my mom, she was always on the lookout for that banana bread to get unpacked from the car. If I had been too busy to make one, she had all the ingredients for me to make one before I returned home and yes, it’s that good!

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs, room temperature
1 cup mashed banana
1 teas vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2teas baking powder
1/2 teas baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts
dash nutmeg
dash cinnamon

Cream together the butter and cream cheese in a large bowl; gradually beat in the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time and beat well after each addition. Stir in the banana and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients and add to the butter mixture, mixing well. Fold in the nuts and turn into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean………This will be on my holiday baking list for sure!!!!    Try some in the morn with  your coffee.
