Almond Yeast Cake

When I came across this recipe, it’s ingredients were on my shopping list and it was made the next day! It is soooo yummy!


1 pkg yellow cake mix
1 pkg instant dry yeast
¾ cup warm water
½ cup melted butter
4 eggs
1 teas almond extract
1 cup ground almonds


In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the ground almonds. Mix according to the package directions. Stir in the ground almonds and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan; cover and let rise for 30 minutes in a warm place. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan. Serve warm or cold with a little sprinkle of powdered sugar on top or a scoop of ice cream……… Two thumbs up!
