Now it doen’t get more simple than this. I keep my sauce in small containers for snacks.
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 teas cinnamon
Peel, core and cut each apple in quarters. Place apples in a large saucepan with water. Bring apples to a boil, cover half way with a lid and reduce heat to simmer. Stir off and on to keep apples from sticking and cook for about 40 minutes or until apples are soft. Using a potato masher, mash apples to make a thick sauce; stir in the cinnamon. Serve warm or chill to have with a nice pork roast dinner……
